What We Collect

When you use Missively, we collect the minimum information needed to provide the service:

  • Your email address — used for sign-in (magic links) and as the reply-to address on invitations you send.
  • Event details — title, date, time, location, and any message you write for your guests.
  • Guest information — names and email addresses you provide for your guest list, plus RSVP responses submitted by guests.
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

How We Use Your Data

  • To create and deliver your event invitations via email.
  • To track RSVPs and display them on your dashboard.
  • To send reminders to guests who haven't responded.
  • To process payments through Stripe.
  • To improve the service through anonymous usage analytics.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate:

  • Azure Table Storage — stores event and guest data.
  • Resend — sends invitation and reminder emails.
  • Stripe — processes payments securely.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

Data Retention

Event data is retained for 30 days after the event date, after which it is permanently deleted along with all associated guest information. You can delete draft events at any time from your dashboard.

Your Rights

In accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy legislation, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.

Age Requirement

Missively is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
